Job Summary

Working as part of a cohesive accounting team, you will have the opportunity to learn about and contribute to multiple accounting processes, from daily deposit operations to financial reporting. This includes partnering with others to complete various daily deposit operational tasks and assisting to resolve processing issues. In addition to working with the general ledger and reconciling accounts between multiple systems, you will provide technical support for various aspects of the financial reporting process.

  • Produce cash reports and distribute cash management reports
  • Work with various banks on account discrepancies
  • Perform general accounting functions related to the company’s financial accounts, including journal entry processing, check and electronic file processing, completing monthly closing of general ledger, and reconciling cash accounts
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of all general ledger accounts
  • Contribute written analysis and develop insightful reports based on financial data
  • Support independent auditors and state examiners
  • Oversee the financial statement filing process to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Support the preparation and reporting of 1099 tax forms in accordance with federal regulatory requirements
  • Assist with abandoned property reporting and stale check processing
  • Research and resolve deposit errors and bank corrections
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or management, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to apply sound judgment and reasoning
  • Excellent organizational aptitude, with the ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent attendance and the ability to work extra hours, when needed
