What Should You Do If You Have An Auto Accident?
- Contact the police. Be sure to advise them of any injuries so medical assistance can be obtained right away.
- Move away from the vehicles for safety reasons and warn any other motorists of the potential hazards.
- Gather information to include the names, addresses and phone numbers of all the other drivers, passengers and witnesses. The year, make, model, color and registration number of all vehicles involved is very important. Don’t forget to obtain insurance information from all parties involved in the accident to include the insurance company name and policy numbers.
- Obtain the investigating police officer’s name and ask for a copy of the police report.
- Report the accident to us by either calling your Agent or our Claims Office. (See above.)
What Should You Do If You Have A Homeowners Loss?
- Report any break-in, burglary or theft Loss immediately to your local police.
- If necessary, call the appropriate emergency personnel immediately (i.e.; fire department or ambulance).
- Make temporary repairs and take reasonable measures to protect your property from further damage.
- Save receipts and keep a record of any costs associated with the Loss.
- Prepare a list of lost or damaged items.
- Report the Loss to us by either calling your Agent or our Claims Office. (See above.)
